Finding the Gene Marker
Lowchen breeders are participating in two research projects to find the genetic marker for PRA in the breed.
By identifying the gene/s responsible, Lowchen breeders can then use a simple bloodtest to identify dogs who are PRA Carriers or Non-Carriers and make informed breeding choices.
